Luray RV Resort on Shenandoah River

Our site was lot 609 and had amazing views. There was plenty of room for my husband’s truck, my Explorer, and the golf cart we rented. The campground was clean and a blast to be at, with a quick and efficient check-in and an easy golf cart rental. Staff were polite, courteous, and answered every question from the start. It was our first trip here with our camper, and we had an amazing time. WE WILL BE BACK!

We had so much fun and will be back for summer. There were gorgeous views and plenty to do. We rode around in golf carts and found cool spots by the river and ponds, went fishing and minor chatching, and had a fire with smores. There’s also a skate park and playground, and the caverns are only five minutes away. It was one of the best vacation spots ever.

The setting is incredible, with the mountains, lovely landscaping, sunrise and sunset views, and lots of stars. The resort is well thought out and very clean, with great amenities. We arrived around 2:45 on a Tuesday and found our paperwork outside, which seemed odd since the grounds are listed as open until 5. We picked it up and went to our site. We stayed three days and never had contact with anyone, apart from other campers. When we called the office to add a fourth night, a young woman said she could charge the card on file. There still wasn’t much customer service, so I gave it four stars, though the campground, location, and setting are absolutely incredible. Thanks for the location and setting. Bmx track wow.

The views are amazing, and the location is great. We came for our first stay during the offseason because regular season fees seemed too high. Check-in staff were friendly, and after we got to our site, a staff member who was off duty helped us back in. He was a really nice guy. The campground layout is good, but I don’t understand the value. Golf carts and other traffic kick up so much dust that it gets everywhere, and it doesn’t feel much like a resort. We also called the office on Friday about a very unclean bathroom, which wasn’t what we expected from a resort.
