The location and price were the biggest reasons I’d consider coming back. The staff were kind and helpful, and our King Suite City View was spacious, warm despite the freezing weather, quiet, and had a comfortable bed. It worked well if you’re not too fussy. There were enough problems to make the stay feel lackluster, though. The hotel is dated, and little things added up: torn and stained sheets, water that only sometimes got hot, a tissue holder that fell apart, a very slow elevator, and a shower curtain that wouldn’t stay closed. The Wi-Fi wouldn’t connect in our room. The front desk told me it was in a “dead zone.” We were settled in for just a few nights, so we stayed put, but every room should be able to connect. I’d probably return because the price is so good for the location. If you’re looking for a hotel that feels like a treat, you may want to look elsewhere. I’d expected it to be a bit sketchy from the reviews, and that wasn’t quite my experience.

The staff really made our short visit. Kayla and Nathan at the front desk, along with everyone working the Saturday night event we attended, were so polite, sweet, and friendly. Thank you! The hotel is comfortable, though it’s getting ready for a renovation that it needs. We’re looking forward to seeing it afterward.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and I’d recommend staying here to friends and family. It’s an old hotel, but a nice one, and our room was clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and we couldn’t hear noise from the hallway or outside, which is always a plus. They should spend some money modernizing it. I’ll definitely stay again.

I was in town for my brother’s wedding last weekend, and the stay was a poor and concerning experience. The staff were inconsistent about which rooms were actually habitable, and the hotel needs a close look at how it’s managed before taking in more guests. Getting into the room took far too long. Only one person was working the two reception desks, and the hotel was changing its POS system, which the desk worker didn’t know how to use. A ten-minute check-in stretched to 15-20 minutes. Other staff came to help, all dressed in very different bright, loose-fitting outfits that didn’t seem to fit the hotel’s identity. Before that, the exterior already looked dated and unkempt, with torn curtains hanging from some upper floors. Inside, the decor was dated but clean. The hallway carpet was coming loose and the wallpaper was peeling. My keys wouldn’t work, so I made several trips downstairs over about 10 minutes before getting into the room. Inside, the carpet and sheets had what looked like blood stains, and the pillowcases and sheets had other bodily fluids. Truly disgusting. The included “continental breakfast” was like a high-school cafeteria. You’d get more for your money at Waffle House. There was also an UNLOCKED security door taped over where you’d normally use your door-key, which was very concerning. With a parking garage next to the hotel, they should also have some kind of ramp so guests can put their bags on a trolley and get them inside comfortably.

The staff were very friendly, and I think this could be a great spot after it’s rehabbed and reopened. Right now the hotel is very old and being renovated. The rooms were dirty, and the AC wall units were falling apart. The restaurant and pool were closed for renovations too.
