Quality Suites Near Cedar Creek Lake

I asked for a refund after we’d barely stepped into the room and back out, but the desk clerk refused. My wife and I had checked in and found the place smelled awful, like weed masked with bleach. When I asked about another room, the woman at the desk was VERY rude and said she had to go check. Fine, she came back saying she didn’t smell anything strange. Absolutely HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

We were meant to stay six days, but after two nights I saw a roach and left in the middle of the night. I don’t usually write reviews since I know people are generally doing their best, but this hotel was ridiculously disgusting. The first room hadn’t been cleaned, with leftovers in the fridge, dirty sheets, dust along the walls, and mold and grime in the bathroom. The carpets were dirty too. The room had a god-awful Lysol smell sprayed over what smelled like a wet animal. They offered another room, but when we checked it out, it was somehow worse. And, of course, there were roaches.

We chose the hotel through Expedia because of what was advertised, then found the property had been completely misrepresented. When we raised the discrepancies, the hotel refused responsibility and wouldn’t refund us. They also wouldn’t work with Expedia to make any sort of adjustment for us.

The rooms are very large, but the place felt run down and needed a deep clean. It was really humid inside and smelled strongly of chlorine. The hallway carpet was dirty, and we had to switch rooms because the carpet by the window A/C unit was soaked. There was a dead roach on the second floor in front of the elevator, at least it was dead. In our room, the bathroom needed cleaning or remodeling: broken, lifted floor tiles and moldy grout that looked pretty bad.
