Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Macedonia, OH

After four days in a tent, all I wanted was a bed and somewhere to clean up with my service dog. We'd been walking for hours when he stopped in the parking lot, and I'm so grateful we found the Country Inn. I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels over the years, but nowhere else has made me feel so cherished and welcome. Everyone, from the front desk to housekeeping, was kind and caring. Whenever I needed something, they helped, and even their thoughts and well wishes after we left meant more than they know. Those few days reminded me there's still good in the world. A special shoutout to David, Felicia, and the general manager, whose name I’ve forgotten. They all went above and beyond.

We came from out of town for a friend's wedding, but my sister and I felt unsafe as soon as we arrived. The room was dirty and dusty, and the toilet paper roll was almost empty. In the elevator, two barefoot, shirtless men stared at us for far too long and belched. Guests down the hall were also yelling loudly. We found a last-minute AirBnb about 30 minutes away and spent over $400 plus Uber fees to get there. We got no response when we called about a refund. Super disappointing.

The hotel is kind of in the cut, so it doesn't get too crowded. The Whirlpool room is always a great time, especially after a long work week when you need a soak in the jet tub. We went again on 3/27/26, and it was just as relaxing as the first time my wife and I stayed. I didn't take pictures this time, but I'll upload some from that first visit. The photos and video are from 2023. I got all the lights and balloons off Amazon.

The rooms were clean, though dated, and the bathroom floor tile was busted. We had two rooms from Monday night through Wednesday night for work. On Wednesday morning, we found out we'd need to stay one more night. My boss went to book both rooms again and discovered his company card had been blocked over suspected fraudulent charges. Luckily, he had another card. While I was having breakfast in the dining area, I heard the woman behind the desk loudly tell them she hadn't blocked the card and would need to transfer everything to the other one. She was rude, and I could hear the whole conversation. That morning, our toilet wouldn't flush. We told her before heading to work, and she said she'd leave a plunger outside the room instead of having maintenance deal with it. They need to get rid of her.
