Lighthouse View Motel

The Lighthouse View in Mack City stands out among the many local motels I’ve tried across northern Michigan. Our rate was reasonable, the room was spacious and clean, and the front desk was friendly and helpful. I didn’t get a chance to use the pool or hot tub, but maybe next time. I also appreciate that this motel isn’t part of the large group of hotels under common ownership in Mackinaw City. Looking forward to coming back.

The location is excellent, right across from the lighthouse and at the last I-75 exit before the bridge. The pool and hot tub were clean, and towels were provided. Our room had two queen beds, lots of space, and daily cleaning. The shower was great. The owner was friendly and very accommodating. My only complaint is that the beds were firmer than I like. I’d highly recommend staying here.

We stayed in room 202 on the second level and had a lovely bridge view from the window or just outside the door. This family run motel is quiet, with Lighthouse Park across the street and downtown about a quarter mile away, an easy and safe walk even at night. The rooms aren’t fancy, which was what we expected, but everything was very clean. The pool and hot tub were nice and clean too. We left on 9/1/25 and would absolutely recommend it to friends and family. We’ll be back.

The front desk woman was so sweet, and the location was great. The rooms looked recently remodeled, but the walls were paper thin. I could hear people on the stairs, getting in and out of cars, and having “relations” all night. I had to sleep with a pillow over my ears.
