Courtyard Macon

The hotel's pretty isolated, and the nearby roads are very dark because there aren't many street lamps. If you like being away from everything, you may enjoy the location. Some areas of the hotel were a little dirty, though overall it was fine. I gave it three stars because they declined to give me free water bottles and were out of toothbrushes. I consider those basic hotel items. I was also told there were no bottle refill stations, just a small water tank by the entrance.

The staff were the best part of my visit. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and went out of their way to make things pleasant. The location was convenient for everything we needed and made getting around simple. The hotel is a little older, but it's well kept. My only small disappointment was the missing free lobby coffee in the morning. Fairfield, Townplace, and other Marriotts still offer it, while here you have to buy it from the 'restaurant'. It's not a dealbreaker, but that complimentary morning cup was a nice touch. I'd definitely stay again and recommend it for the staff and location.

I stayed overnight while visiting my parents in Macon, and the welcoming employees are why I'd return. The receptionist, bartender, and cleaning staff all had big smiles and were friendly. They seemed to enjoy working there. The room was clean and comfortable, just what I expect from Marriott, though it could use some sprucing up. Great job, everyone. See you again.

The downstairs area has been updated nicely, and the location is good. But the room and elevator feel ancient, and the TVs don't have the usual apps you find in most places. The stay was alright, though I'll probably look for another hotel next time I'm in the area.
