The reception was really pleasant, and check-in was quick and easy. Everyone was friendly. The hotel is right off the highway, and Waffle House is close enough to walk to. I think there's a breakfast area, though I haven't been there yet. There's also a sports bar connected to the hotel that's open and serves food.

We were happy to find the pool gates unlocked for us, and that really made our day. It was a nice day, though too cool to swim, so we'd planned to sit by the pool. The gates were locked, and we sat on a bench outside the fence instead. We didn't ask anyone to open up because we assumed the pool was closed for the season. Then a woman motioned us over and unlocked the gates without us asking. She seemed to understand what we wanted. I didn't get her name, and she didn't seem to speak English. She wasn't identified as hotel staff, but she must have worked there because she had the key. The hotel was very clean, and the staff were very nice. We were especially pleased by that woman's thoughtfulness.

The front desk clerk talked over me and didn't listen to the issue. I couldn't do a sage cleanse because of the smoke detector, which I understand, but when I got to the room there wasn't one in it anyway. The bathroom had patchy paint and yellow stains on the wall behind the toilet. The tub wall looked like it was either coming away from the wall or going in. They'd updated the sink faucet, but the shower head looked very old. It was pretty quiet most of the time.

The ice machine was out of order, but everything else was very good. Check-in was easy, the rooms were clean, and the staff were friendly and engaging. It's convenient and easy to reach from the highway.
