TownePlace Suites by Marriott Macon Mercer University

The room was very clean, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The location worked well for the event we were attending, so I’d stay again. I’d just plan to eat somewhere else: the so-called “full breakfast” was a letdown. The sausage tasted several days old, and the peach compote was partly frozen with an odd flavor.

Christian made check-in easy for us, especially since we were traveling with two young kids and a dog. He listened to what we needed, found us a two-bedroom suite, and arranged a first-floor room that was much more convenient for our family. His attention to detail and considerate, welcoming manner really stood out alongside his professionalism and efficiency. We had a fantastic stay at SpringHill Suites in Macon, Georgia, and Christian helped set the tone for it. We’ll definitely return, and I’d recommend this hotel to families and people traveling with pets.

Breakfast was the usual free hotel spread, but it was perfectly adequate, and I loved the peach compote. The room itself was small but nice, with a full fridge, cooktop, sink, and a great closet. The front desk was pleasant, and it was mostly quiet, though we heard some evening noise from the staff area next to our end room, maybe laundry. The wall-mounted TV had to be repositioned depending on whether we watched from the bed or couch. One thing to keep in mind, opening the sleeper sofa would leave very little space.

I was in town for a procedure at Atrium, just 1.2 miles away, and ended up very pleased with the hotel. The staff were friendly, the lobby and rooms were clean, and there are some great places to eat nearby. Just a good stay all around.
