Lareau Farm Inn

Late night pizza in the pizza shop made for an unforgettable afterparty, and we were lucky to get a sunny day after dodging a massive thunderstorm. We did have some enthusiastic drinkers, so the bar tab got pretty high, but it was worth it for the best day. We’d recommend Lareau Farm Inn for a special wedding or even a weekend getaway. We got married there in late June, and choosing the place felt right because my husband and I had spent so much time in Vermont early in our relationship and Lareau was one of our favorite places to visit. The venue was perfect. Helen, the onsite coordinator, helped everything run smoothly. She met with us several times before the wedding, organized things, handled vendor coordination, and stayed hands-on throughout the day. We never had to wonder what came next because she had it covered. Stacey, the innkeeper, was kind and welcoming to all our friends staying onsite, and made everyone feel comfortable all weekend. Andrew, the chef, also knocked it out of the park. We had a complicated menu, with many vegan family members, and chose the full menu instead of just pizza. He worked closely with us on a great meal that friends and family are still talking about months later.

Having the inn to ourselves and our guests for the whole weekend made our wedding feel so special. All the spaces, from the ceremony site to the tent, pavilion, and inn, are beautiful and charming. Helen made planning much easier and coordinated with the outside vendors, so we didn’t have to worry about everything during the weekend. The full staff helped the whole event go seamlessly. We got married at Lareau last August, and if you want a perfect Vermont wedding weekend, this is the place. Highly recommend!

This was our 14th year spending a holiday weekend at Lareau Farm. It’s hard to beat this inn: homemade cookies on the counter, a warm fireplace, and a staff that’s extraordinarily kind and generous. Breakfast is amazing on every visit, and Stacey, the innkeeper, is wonderful. The town has so many cute shops and restaurants, too. I highly recommend staying here. You’ll feel right at home, and we’ll see you again soon!

Stacey, the innkeeper, was a delight and helped us get the last room for the night a snowstorm was coming in. Breakfast was delicious and kept us going for a day of activities, and the other guests we met were kind and pleasant. We recommend the inn and are already planning to come back later this season.
