Madbush Falls

The waterfall and woods just behind the Lodge were such an unexpected treat. We found the location very accessible to both Waitsfield and Warren, right on Rt 100, but didn’t notice any road noise. Our room was simple, lovely, and huge, with entrances at both the front and back. That made getting to the sauna and restaurant quick, easy, and warm. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the Ursa Major bathroom products were a lovely surprise. We’d absolutely stay again and have already recommended it to friends. Such an easy, clean, comfy stay!

We’d definitely stay again. The location worked well for Sugarbush and Mad River Glen, and both the room and restaurant were very good. The staff were friendly, helpful, and seemed to enjoy their work.

The restaurant gets busy quickly, so reserve ahead or be prepared to wait, and you still might be turned away. It was great, though. We had a lovely stay at Madbush Falls. A few things to know: ask for a room away from the restaurant, since ours was noisy and we hadn’t realized it was nearby. Also, the room still has to be paid for despite Mother Nature. We tried hard to get there Friday night, but the storm was huge and our vehicle couldn’t make it up the hill. We understand that we still had to pay.

We booked at the last minute on Airbnb during peak ski season, and the price was reasonable. The lodge was very clean and beautifully decorated, with a responsive host. It’s right off a main road, which made winter travel easier and calmer, and it was super convenient for Sugarbush. The staff at the adjacent restaurant were lovely and mentioned there’s plenty to do in summer too. I’d recommend it and will definitely return.
