Sugarbush Inn At Sugarbush

Dinner was simple with the Thai restaurant right on site, Fit to be Thai-D. The Pad Thai was delicious. We had a clean, comfortable room with a king bed, and the front desk team was welcoming and courteous. The games room and sitting room were included, which gave the place a homey feel, and the warm breakfast each day was a nice extra. I’ll be back next season.

The conditions in my third-floor room were awful. It was over 90 degrees, with no air conditioning, refrigerator, or microwave, and brown water came from the sink. There was black mold or mildew on the towel rack, dangerously sharp tile on the bathroom floor, and several cracks in the sink. The coffee packs were a year old, and there was no maid service. This was the worst room I’ve seen in more than 50 years. I sent a complaint on 10 Nov and still haven’t heard back. I plan to contact the Vermont Health Department about several complaints, because I believe this place should be closed as a health hazard. It felt worse than any Motel 6 I stayed in as a student, and I’ll never return. Most of the guests seemed to be in their 70s, yet there are no elevators or indoor ramps. I think the place is dangerous for guests. Do not stay here.

Our room was 90 degrees, and we couldn’t sleep all night. The lobby and hallways smelled horrible, and there were no amenities at all. I can’t believe they charge $187 for this old barn. It felt like money was being taken straight out of our pockets while they laughed at us. I’ll never come back. What a ripoff.

Megan, the property manager, helped our group find somewhere for an unplanned dinner. The staff were all great at working through room issues during the season opening.
