The location of my room made things awkward because it was the only one per room at the far end of the hotel, and getting my luggage there was difficult. I borrowed the luggage cart, but once I reached the room, the manager called and told me to bring it right back because another guest needed it. I stayed for over a month and regret booking from the start. The managers also yelled at a guest in front of me. I wouldn't recommend paying over $100 a day, plus a $60-per-night pet deposit.

The room was messy, the vending machine coffee tasted like bathwater, and the so-called continental breakfast was wrapped danishes like you'd find at a convenience store, apparently 4 to 5 months old. I was in town for a Baptist conference with my church, and this place was a complete nightmare. It's right across from a prison, no kidding. Worst hotel I've ever stayed in.

The place had a strange smell, and I wouldn't go back. We were offered the drop-off laundry service, but our clothes never came back. When we asked about them at 10 pm, the owner yelled at us, then yelled at the cleaning lady because her car had broken down and delayed her. He was rude to guests and employees alike. A very bad experience.

The quiet atmosphere and well-kept property made for a relaxing stay. My room was clean and comfortable, with everything I needed, and the staff were welcoming. Check-in was quick and easy. I had a great experience at Americas Best Value Inn & Suites Madera and would stay again.

Easy to get to right off the freeway, and there's a gas station next door, which made filling up simple. The managers were friendly and accommodating, and my room was clean and spacious. I had a great stay.
