It’s an older property, but the owners are clearly putting effort and care into updating it. The bed was super comfortable, the shower had strong pressure and hot water, and the place felt clean and welcoming. I liked the personal touch of a mom-and-pop motel, where people seem to care about guests, instead of the feel of a giant corporate chain. If you want affordable, comfortable, no-frills lodging with character and good hospitality, Valued Stay is worth a look.

The location worked well since it was close to my job, and the room was okay. I stayed a week, but they never changed the sheets, even after I spilled something on them. Breakfast was just okay for the first 2-3 days, and there was no milk.

I needed somewhere safe while I moved out of a home that was falling apart and looked for another place. Getting settled here was simple, and the space gave me room to start building something for myself. There was guaranteed food in the morning and 24/7 access as long as you weren't an awful guest. The rules are restrictive, but workable, which was what I needed at the time. The place and location aren't great, and you have to drive to get anything. There's also a lot of repair work needed, which might not be worth doing for future guests. Still, it gave me somewhere to unwind and make a transition. I'm thankful for it, and hope they can build something from it too. :)

We stayed for 8 nights and 9 days, and most of the visit was great. Most of the staff were very helpful and accommodating. But during the last two days, the woman at the front desk in the mornings was extremely rude. On checkout day she texted us, "Please get ready. You have 50 minutes to check out. Thanks" and refused to let us add another night. We had to move to a different hotel because of her.
