Best Western Premier Park Hotel

Paul, the manager, showed us around and gave a really enthusiastic history of the hotel and Madison. By the end, the staff made us feel like family. Krystal, Nelly and Kim at reception were consistently warm and helpful, and valet Elliot got us to the airport with time to spare. Alex was also great, helping with our bags, chatting with us, and sharing recommendations. This was easily the best hotel stay I've had, and I'm already looking forward to coming back.

The staff were accommodating and friendly, and the room was better than I expected from a Best Western. It had carpet, a mini fridge and microwave, plus a roomy bedroom and bathroom. The fitness area was nice, though I would've liked free weights. The location worked well too, right across from the capitol, near the shopping street, and not too far from the university.

Terri at The Post made our trip so much better with her hospitality and great service. My one bad experience was checking in on 02/21 with a male staff member. He nearly had me pay for the room twice, then never followed up. Later, he happened to see us in the elevator and said he was “good.” He also kept asking if I was the only adult, which was embarrassing. I'm a 36-year-old woman, educated despite my southern accent, and this was my break from tax season with my daughter. I don't know whether he disrespects women or looks down on them, but I have nothing good to say about that interaction. He needs diversity training.

The room was excellent, with a separate sitting space and a lovely view. I was in town for three nights for the Madison marathon, and the location couldn't have worked better, just across the square from both the start and finish. The front desk team were all so friendly. Even with snow around, there was a supermarket and plenty of places to eat within an easy walk. Thanks to everyone in Madison for being so welcoming.
