The room had everything we needed, and we were comfortable and happy with how clean it was. Our larger room had a king bed and plenty of space, plus a couch that folds out. It also came with an air purifier, essential oil diffuser, mini split, Roku, microwave, sink, and fridge. The bed and pillows were comfy. I liked having sodas, juice, and snacks right in the room instead of having to hunt for a vending machine. I was pleasantly surprised by how many toiletries and how much shampoo they provided.

Don't get a room beside the ice machine. I’m not even sure you can switch rooms, since there didn’t seem to be staff on site. We might try a larger room next time, but the smallest one was so tight you could barely walk around the bed and had almost no luggage space. The bathroom was even smaller than the one in our first house, with nowhere for toiletries except a spot by the tiny sink and long mirror. Nice towels and products, though. The photos were misleading. I booked the cheapest, smallest room at the last minute and still paid $145 for the night. Other hotels down the road cost half to two-thirds as much and have larger rooms, though this motel is a different kind of place. It wasn’t even half full, but there were no last-minute deals. The main sign needs attention, and the brick wall needs pressure washing. If they’re charging that much, the property should be kept looking appealing. I gave it three stars because other reviewers seemed to get caught up in the concept instead of the practical side, and the reviews needed some balance. We stopped here because Madison makes a good overnight stop on our drive back from Florida, and I’m tired of rooms and ACs that smell of mildew or worse, which I know from working in the trade. This was a fairly recent renovation with a fun twist and mini splits, which is a plus.

The location was great, with the town park and square just down the street and antebellum homes along the way. Parking right in front of our room made loading and unloading easy, and getting in was seamless. Inside, it was clean and had the amenities we needed. The decor was fun, the bedding and linens were nice and comfortable, and the towels and soaps were lovely. We’ll stay another night when we come back. Super place, don’t think twice!

The bed was so comfortable I was seriously tempted to take the whole thing. Please email me where you get everything for it! We stayed overnight for a friend’s wedding, and the location worked perfectly for the venue. Check-in was really easy, and the room was cozy and cleaner than some hotel rooms I’ve stayed in before. If we’re back in Madison, this will be our spot.
