The main problem was how my reservation and payment were handled. I booked through a third party, as I usually do, at a great rate, but the property canceled it saying the digital card had declined. I believe the real issue was that they wanted to charge a few dollars more than the exact amount, and instead of contacting me to pay the difference when I arrived, they canceled the booking. I had to pay out of pocket, well over the travel budget for my family. Then my card was charged multiple times. As a Hilton Honors member, paying $700 for three nights was a terrible rate, especially since the third party price would have been half that. For that amount I would have considered a higher quality hotel. I’ve stayed at Hilton properties for years, including this one, but the service here has changed a lot. I felt brushed off, and nobody took responsibility for what I believe was the property’s own error. I stayed polite and didn’t complain about the hotel’s appearance, but no manager ever came to discuss the disruption. The hotel itself was just okay. There were ants on the wall near the sink, the bed squeaked when I got up, and the furniture looked the same as it did on my last visit 5 to 7 years ago. Breakfast was okay but cold, and the lobby decor felt unwelcoming. Definitely reconsider this place if you’re looking at a high price and poor management.

Breakfast was outstanding, and the people working there were amazing. The front desk staff were friendly every time, too. It was clean and I felt very safe. It wasn’t spotless or pristine, but it was a great place to stay.

We kept getting construction beeps and noise from work on the outside of the building. I wish they’d spent that money on the rooms instead. The room was only okay, and I was surprised there wasn’t a desk for using a laptop. The hotel isn’t bad, but it feels outdated and could use some care. The main reason for the 3 stars was the repeated fire alarms. One went off at 1:30am and we had to leave the room, only to find it was a false alarm. The same thing happened several times during our stay. The elevators also stopped working all the time.

The only good part was breakfast. The pool was too dirty to use, the front desk clerk was rude and seemed clueless, and I wasn’t impressed with the location. They’d made a mistake on my reservation and booked just one night. They said my card was declined because they’d entered the wrong expiration date. Glad I only stayed one night. The Hampton Inn 3 miles away is much better. This didn’t feel like Hilton quality.

The rooms were clean, the beds pretty comfortable, and breakfast was included and good. Still, for the price, there were too many problems. We were in town for a hockey tournament, and the hotel looked nice at first glance, but the pool was poorly heated or not working. The TV remote was unreliable, and all the parking lot and exterior lights were out, making it dark and sketchy at night even though the neighborhood itself is fine. The worst part was the fire alarm going off in the middle of the night. We evacuated and waited for the fire department. It turned out to be something with one of the elevators, and the alarm went off a couple more times that night. They refunded $50 for the lost sleep and inconvenience, but I think it should have been a free night. It’s in an office park with little around. The Applebee's next door was very slow and seemed understaffed.
