Wapato Point Resort

We had warm sunshine and a bit of rain during our time there on April 19th, and it was otherwise peaceful and quiet. The ice maker sounded like an aquarium and wasn’t making ice. We’d like to return.

We spent a week here on our honeymoon, and the place was gorgeous, spacious, and lovely. The staff were super nice and accommodating, and the amenities were wonderful. We went to the Wapato Point Tennis Association and had a great time. I’d really recommend it for a winter getaway. We’re definitely coming back to this resort in the future!

We’ve been coming to Wapato Point for 20 years, so seeing it in this condition makes me extremely sad. There’s black mold running up the wall by the indoor pool, and the door handle from the women’s locker room broke off in my hands as I tried to leave. The place feels badly run down. We were swimming and wanted to use the hot tub, but it was at least 7 inches low on water. I called the front desk and they said they’d send maintenance to look at it, but no one came during the next two hours we were there. I’m so disappointed. I think this may be our last visit.

We’ve been timeshare owners at Wapato Point since 1991, and Johnny’s help was an unexpected, much appreciated start to our vacation. We arrived late after dealing with snow on the roads, and check-in was closed. We called the number on the door, and Johnny from Security came over. After we explained we were late, he took us to our unit and let us in, then told us to check in and pick up our keys in the morning. As we started unloading the car, he offered to carry our gear up the stairs to our second-floor unit. He made about eight trips up and down. What a magnificent way to start our vacation.
