Tashea runs an outstanding crew here. I've traveled a lot for work and seen all kinds of hotel staff and management, and this team really stood out. My two weeks flew by because of the care and professionalism they showed. I felt I had to leave a review, and hope you get a moment of recognition. If someone wants to see how a hotel should be run, they should stay here and talk with Tashea and her crew. Thank you. I wish every hotel I stay in could do this well.

A lot of people here, including my family, think of this place as home. The people who work and live here are nice. I've read the reviews and seen what people say. The hotel is under new management, and he is doing a great job making changes and revamping the place, though that takes time and doesn't happen overnight. Most of the people I see coming and going who don't live here full-time are construction workers. Don't expect perfection, but you will find people living their lives, including the staff. Everyone is human, and they'll work to make your stay as good as they can. They allow pets too.

The location is great if you're in the area, but the staff and manager's conduct has been unethical and disrespectful toward residents, and doesn't reflect company policy. The female manager (SHEA) has been getting involved with residents' husbands and boyfriends in inappropriate ways. During the five months my family and I stayed there while vulnerable, she caused serious harm to us and others. I have a list of proof of what she's done. She drove a split between my fiancée and me, which was unacceptable. Be careful if you have a husband, boyfriend or other loved one. If she likes someone, she'll approach them.

My boyfriend and I stayed about three weeks for work, and this was an awful experience. They often didn't have basic things I asked for at the desk, like spoons, a cutting board or a kitchen knife. I've never before had to clean my own room and change the sheets at a hotel, though they did at least let me borrow a vacuum. We took dirty towels to the desk and got clean ones in return, which was fine until a cleaner told me I could leave the dirty ones outside our door. When I went down for clean towels, Shay was working and refused because I didn't have the old ones with me. I explained where I'd left them, but she yelled and accused me of lying. There was also confusion over when payments were processed, and I admit I didn't understand it at first. But when I tried to sort it out, manager Shay was extremely rude and aggressive. I told her I wasn't trying to argue, and she said, “This isn't Shay mad, you can ask anyone what it's really like when Shay is mad. This is just my normal voice.” I was stunned. I would never talk to anyone that way, especially a customer. I wasn't rude to her or did anything to deserve that behavior. Strange and terrible stay. After this, I'll never stay at an Extended Stay of America again.

Staff were friendly and nice to me, except for the person who tried to enter my room while I was getting ready for bed. I checked in around 8 p.m., and only 15 minutes later someone used a key card to open the door until it hit the swing bolt. I heard someone say sorry, but it was unsettling. The sink was badly stained and drained poorly, the remote didn't work, and a drawer was broken and hanging out. The place needs many updates. The bathroom fan sounded like a log splitter and only blew in weed smoke anyway. Traffic from the nearby 494 freeway was loud. There was no hot breakfast. I wouldn't recommend it.
