The mattress was the part we couldn't get past. It sagged badly in the middle, and we both woke up with significant back pain. We spent $220 on massages the next day just to function. After staff said our room category was full, we had to stay a second night on that bed and woke up hurting again. I had asked for a quiet room, but we were put facing a major highway. The building is old, with dated TVs, bathrooms, and decor. I tried to manage the noise with earplugs and sleep aids, and was willing to let the dated look go. A hotel still needs to give you a decent place to sleep, though, and this one didn't. The bedding setup was odd too. The supposed blanket was basically a sheet. It took several tries to get extra pillows because of communication problems, and we eventually pieced together something usable from what was brought up. Staff later acknowledged they'd heard mattress complaints before. A manager said the property had recently changed hands and renovations were planned, and that the mattresses hadn't been replaced in 15 years. When I tried to get a resolution, I was passed between people. One manager-level employee hung up on me twice and kept asking if I wanted a room change, apparently unaware of the earlier conversations. Maintenance worker Donovan was the only professional throughout this. He confirmed mattresses were being replaced across the property and helped us move. The next mattress was a little better, though still not acceptable. Five staff members and two managers were involved, with no proactive solution. I was willing to handle the noise and overlook the finishes, but not this. Until the renovations are done and management can take concerns without disconnecting calls, I'd stay elsewhere. Donovan deserves credit; the rest of the leadership team could learn from him.

I've been here at least six times and usually book a suite. This time I had one of the smaller rooms. Check-in was quick and easy, and the front desk attendants were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, just much smaller than I'm used to. I did spot a ladybug and another tiny flying thing, but it wasn't a big deal. I'll come back.

It's 10:35 p.m., and after three calls, Alex at the night desk says there's no way to reach the owners of the dogs barking nearby and get them to come quiet the dogs. At a thin-walled hotel, that's miserable. Dog feces had also been in the hallway earlier. They offered me another room, which means getting dressed, packing, and moving. The pet policy is very poor, and management doesn't seem concerned with solving problems or guest satisfaction. Avoid this place unless endless barking with no response from the owners or hotel is fine with you.

The staff gave phenomenal customer service, but two things got in the way. GPS kept sending me to the 285 exit ramp when I was trying to find the hotel. There's a turn before that on the ramp, and because the property is tucked away, it's easy to miss. It's not exactly the hotel's fault, but finding it was frustrating. They also ran out of towels, which I've never experienced before. Fix those two issues and my rating would be much higher.

Our family appreciated the roomy rooms, friendly service, and well-run breakfast. The location works, though it feels like an office area and there's no fast food nearby. The room itself felt a little gross. It looked like it had been painted or renovated recently by a really bad crew: trim held on with tape, awful paintwork, and sticky glue residue on the desk. That wasn't what I expected from a Hyatt brand.
