The bed was comfortable, the room had everything I needed, and I appreciated the welcome gift for my status. The staff were friendly, too. But the walls are so thin that I could hear normal indoor conversations from the next room, and the breakfast was pretty depressing, with only basic choices.

The location was fairly quiet and handy to shops, restaurants, and other services. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was better than I expected, with plenty to choose from: eggs and meat, breads and pastries, waffles with toppings, cereal, yogurt, fruit, grits, and nuts, dried fruit, and granola for oatmeal. The coffee was very good and there was a nice selection of tea. Beds were comfortable, and the rooms and suites had extra space plus real kitchen amenities. Everything was clean and maintained, though clearly dated. Fine, just not fancy.

The surrounding restaurants were a great choice, and we did eventually get the room we originally booked. But after checking in, our family got stuck in the elevator and had to call the front desk. They seemed unaware it had stopped. The room was adequate, though the pullout sofa looked dirty. Before our first stay, we’d reserved four months ahead for a room layout that worked for my husband, me, our two young kids, and our dog. Less than a day before check-in, we got an email saying it wasn’t available and they wanted to substitute two studio rooms. Then, on our road trip home, we had another two-bedroom suite booked four months ahead. The hotel called just three hours before arrival to say they were overbooked and had to change the reservation. We had to rearrange the stay for our family of five. Too much hassle, and there are plenty of other places in this great area.

The bed was the low point. The memory foam seemed to have memory issues, so they may want to check how old those mattresses are. Otherwise, the place was nice, clean, well lit in the parking area, and had great staff. Plenty of good food is within walking distance.
