We arrived very late, but the friendly front desk woman made check-in quick and easy. The room was clean, comfortable, and had two queen beds. Best of all, they didn’t squeak or creak at all, which is unusual for hotel beds. The blackout curtains kept the morning dark, and breakfast was no-frills but had what we needed. The price is really reasonable for being so close to a major city. We’ll absolutely stay here again when we’re in the area.

Breakfast was very good, there were plenty of onsite entertainment options, the room stayed quiet, and the heating and air unit worked well. Still, we won’t be back. We were exhausted and only there for eight hours, so we didn’t complain at the time, we just wanted to sleep. But there was mold on the shower ceiling, lots of dust on the fixtures, ledges, and dispensers, and one bed had messy sheets with hair and grime, like someone had napped there and the bed was quickly made. There was also a charger left plugged in and trash in the fridge from previous guests. When I arrived, evening staff were outside smoking, so we had to walk through the smoke to get in. At checkout, the front desk clerk’s boyfriend was just hanging around.

The location is very convenient, and the hotel is generally clean, with a gym, game tables, and guest breakfast. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. My issue was housekeeping. I wasn’t told at check-in that rooms are only serviced every two days. When I asked whether they could at least change the towels, they quickly said they’d be happy to, but when I got back that evening, there were no fresh towels and no one had come by.

Easy to book online at the last minute, and the price was good. This was my first Tru stay. It’s cute and boutique-like, family friendly, with fun games outside for lounging. The room was clean, but had a strong body odor smell, so I sprayed all night. The sink stopper also didn’t work, and the water wouldn’t drain. Bryson at the front desk was super sweet and welcoming, with a nice smile 😃
