We've stayed here often, and the place is usually clean with comfortable bedding. This visit felt underwhelming, though. Our supposed city-view room looked out onto a rooftop full of air conditioning units, which didn't bother me much since we weren't in the room long. The TV didn't work properly, and a red message light on the phone kept flashing. It wouldn't clear, so we had to cover it with a hat to sleep. We also didn't have a do not disturb tag. I asked twice for help with all three issues. Priscilla finally brought the tag after 10pm, thank you, but the TV and phone problems were never addressed. We had an early evening and would have liked to watch TV. At checkout, all we got was a half-hearted apology for the inconvenience. The welcome is lukewarm at best, with no smiles or “welcome back.” That's not what I expect from Marriott.

The hotel has a great view and a handy location. Jeffrey C and the rest of the team were friendly, professional, and ready to help with questions from check-in through checkout. I didn't use the pool, but it looked well kept, as did the fitness center.

The location is decent and the service acceptable, but I gave this place a second chance and had the same problem. The walls are so thin that I hear every footstep from the room above, along with hallway doors slamming, and end up awake all night. I thought my first stay might have been a one-off. It wasn't.

The skyline view from the balcony is lovely. The room and staff were nice, but the bathroom walls had oily handprints all over them. They need a different finish or regular wall cleaning as part of maintenance. The tub also drained poorly.

I accidentally booked the wrong location for my date, and when I called to ask the staff to switch it to the right location, they were no help at all. Now I'm out $700. Thieves. Thanks a lot. I won't stay at Marriot in the future.
