Comfort Suites Marietta - Parkersburg

The bed was really comfortable and there was plenty of hot water, but that's about the only positive. The pool and hot tub were out of service, and the fitness center had no usable equipment. None of the amenities we booked for were available.

The pool and spa have been down for a month, according to the front desk employee. Otherwise, the breakfast had decent quality and variety, and the 24-hour gym had most of what you'd need for a quick vacation workout. Rooms are affordable, clean, and spacious. It's right by the highway, with several restaurants you can walk to.

I've stayed here almost every year since it opened and have always been satisfied. The rooms are large and comfortable, and customer service is almost always great. It's starting to show some wear and tear, which is normal, though I did find a bit of mold in the bathroom. I'll still keep choosing this place.

This was a work trip, and I’m on night five of six. For the last three nights, people have been slamming and banging on doors from around 11:30 p.m. until about 3 a.m. Staff haven’t done anything and won’t help. The room smells like dog pee, too. We asked twice for housekeeping; today they finally did a half-hearted tidy, but left empty pizza boxes on the floor next to the trash. Being close to work is the only upside. There are plenty of other places to stay, and I won’t come back, especially for work.
