Baymont by Wyndham Marion

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was spacious, with a working refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and hairdryer. It was affordable too, about a third less than a similar hotel. The location just off I 57 made it easy to reach from the highway. I’d definitely stay again.

The location was very handy for the Interstate, and the continental breakfast was just okay. Check-in was easy, but there was cigarette smoke in the bathroom as soon as we got to the room. I asked the front desk whether smoking was allowed in our room or the rooms next to it. They said the building was smoke-free. I asked to switch rooms, but they were full and had none available, and they didn’t offer anything for the inconvenience. Luckily I had room deodorizer, so I sprayed the bathroom and left the fan on all night. I also took the towels out and hung them by the heater fan to air out. At checkout I mentioned the smoke again, since the smell was still strong in the bathroom. All I got was a brief apology.

The room was clean, quiet, and nicely set up, though it could use some upgrades. The breakfast had a good selection, and the coffee was ready on time. Booking online and arriving were both easy. I’ll definitely stay again when I’m in the area.

The room was spacious and beautiful, and the bed was comfortable. The AC barely worked, but we were offered another room and decided to stay put. It cooled down enough eventually for us to sleep.
