The staff were very friendly, and the location worked well for what we needed, with plenty of places to eat nearby. I did appreciate the zero-calorie infused water at breakfast. The rest of the free breakfast was standard, though there was no sugar-free syrup for diabetics. We skipped the pool because we felt uneasy about the area, and the lights had been turned off. I wanted to rate this two stars, but gave it four because I can see the owner is trying to improve the business. We had to change rooms. The first smelled like rotten milk and decay, and the second was only a little better, with stale cigarette smells. There were dirty pillowcases on the floor in the second room, and the dust was thick. The room stayed very cool even with the heat turned up while it was cold outside, and we ended up freezing. The bathroom was also a problem. The seat felt so low I felt like I was sitting on the floor, so request an accessible room if you have knee issues. The shower was very dirty and had no hot water. I probably wouldn't stay here again.
