I’ve worked in law enforcement for 30 years, and when I checked in, I was shocked to find a rolled-up dollar bill and a small rock of methamphetamines by the coffee maker. They moved me to a different room, but never addressed my complaint, so I emailed Wyngham. They said hotel management had reported offering me a discount on my next stay. That was a lie. Management never contacted me, and I would never stay here again.

It’s a nice place, though not especially bad or great. Just don’t count on fresh bedding or towels, or refills of coffee cups and toilet paper when they come in to clean. They aren’t really cleaning. The floors were swept, but the beds weren’t taken care of. All I got on the third day was a fresh garbage bag.

The rooms are pretty normal, but those showers are frustrating. The curtain rods seem to be installed wrong, and the curtains are about 10 inches too small. I can’t stand inside the shower without the curtain touching me. Only a tiny person could fit without it against them. Some rooms also have tiny toilets, though the toilets differ from room to room. The shower curtains ruin the showers.

We were in town for a softball tournament, and the room was very clean. Everyone on staff was nice and helpful. You can tell the building is older, and the windows let in a lot of sound. Aside from emergency vehicles on the main road, though, it was quiet. Housekeeping left a note on our table wishing us a nice stay, which was a nice touch. We’d stay again.

The breakfast was a pleasant surprise, with a great range of choices, and the room was spotless. We slept incredibly well on the comfortable beds. Everything exceeded our expectations. We loved our stay and will definitely come back!
