Superior Stay Hotel

We stayed four nights at Superior Stays and it felt like home. The staff were warm and helpful every day, and the hotel is clean, modern, and thoughtfully updated. Our spacious king room had a couch, a large TV around 55 inches, and Chromecast, so it was easy to watch our usual apps at night. I also appreciated the lack of carpet. Even little things stood out, like the lobby mints we kept grabbing on our way in and out. There’s no pool, but the dry sauna was a relaxing extra after a day out. The central location made it easy to get around Marquette. We’re glad we picked this hidden gem and would stay again in a heartbeat.

The staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly. They even let me have a little extra time to check out because my nursing boards exams were later that day. The breakfast was amazing, and washers and dryers are free to use. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME.

NMU was our destination, and we couldn’t have found a more convenient location, right next door. When the weather changed, I added nights to my original one-night booking, and the staff were understanding and had no trouble making room for us. My teen daughters spent hours downstairs in the basement room watching TV and playing Monopoly while I worked upstairs. That was a really thoughtful touch. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, breakfast was great, and everyone I spoke with was helpful and friendly. The rates are excellent too. I highly recommend it and will stay here whenever I’m in Marquette.

From the outside, Superior Stay Hotel can pass for a plain roadside motel, but inside it feels warm and cozy, with genuinely welcoming people at reception. My room was spacious, spotless, and comfortable. The lobby had complimentary coffee, tea, and cookies, and I liked that small touch. The fitness room and sauna were nice extras, and breakfast was a pleasant surprise, with fresh bread and a good range of options. A great stay, much nicer than the exterior suggests.
