My wife ended up in tears after the “Manager” told me not to talk while I was trying to explain information to them. The staff showed no compassion or empathy and were extremely rude. It was a holiday weekend, and with a parking lot that empty, I thought they’d want to keep a customer. They need to be run out of business by having no business.

We only stayed one night, though my mother and I had booked for about a week. The beds were very firm and uncomfortable, and the two Queens weren’t set up right: one mattress seemed to sit on a Twin base and the other on a Full base, so they tilted if you sat in the wrong spot. Our door also didn’t seal well enough to keep the Texas heat out. The room and staff made the place feel sketchy, and I was uncomfortable sleeping there. There wasn’t even a fire escape route posted on the door. The location wasn’t anything special either. I can appreciate having a place to sleep for one night, but even for what we paid, I’d tell people to stay somewhere else.

A roach crawled into my ear while I was asleep. I rushed to the mirror, saw it come back out, and killed it, but I felt like my skin was crawling and was pretty traumatized. I washed my ear with soap as best I could and left, paying extra to stay at the Baymont down the street instead. The guy at the desk was rude too. Trust me, pass this motel up and stay elsewhere.

I wouldn’t stay here even if my booking had gone smoothly. The place looked gross and dangerous, and the area looked unsafe. I also thought the hotel had fake ratings. Customer service was awful: they first said they could give me two adjoining rooms, then changed that when I arrived, even though several rooms seemed open from the empty lot. They wouldn’t help cancel my room or provide the booking site with the verification needed to cancel the reservation. Don’t stay here.
