Rainbow Mountain Resort

The scenery is beautiful, which makes it a shame that the stay was such a letdown. Our room had bugs, most things were dirty, and the mattress was stained. The website didn't match this so-called resort at all, and I felt scammed. We won't be back.

We used to spend an extended summer weekend here most years, and went once or twice for New Year's Eve too. Those visits were always amazing. The last time, a few years ago after management changed, we arrived to an unmade bed, stained sheets, and an uncleaned bathroom. The dining room was empty, and it soon became clear why reservations weren't needed: there were only three dinner choices, and the food was disgusting. The pasta sauce tasted like Prego from a jar. The great staff we'd known were all gone. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.

I came on my own as a woman traveling solo, and it was a nice place to visit. The best parts were the staff and those amazing views. There was a great atmosphere and even better company, too. The room had the basics, no more and no less, but it was a good bed to come back to after a long day. I'd come again.

Chris was especially lovely. He treated my wife and me with so much care and made us feel like family. The staff were warm and welcoming, and this is the best resort I've ever been to. We'll definitely return!
