In the first room, the bed had no top sheet, so I had to get one and make the bed myself. The shower fixture stopped working after I tried to use it, and there was black mold in the room. The second room had a properly made bed and a working shower. I probably won’t stay here again. This is the second motel in Marshalltown, IA that I won’t return to. The people seem nice overall, but the owners and managers don’t seem to know much about cleaning.

The guy at the front desk was quick, which I appreciated, and the bed was really soft even though the sheets were dirty. The bathroom had some kind of sketchy stain, and there was hair and weird spots on the bedding. I only stayed one night, which was fine. Be wary, but if this is all you can afford like it was for me, it’s better than nothing.

Check-in went smoothly, and the room was very clean. The window was a little hard to open. You can walk to major shopping and places to eat from here, and even though it’s near the highway and stores, it was surprisingly quiet. I highly recommend it.

The front desk area smelled awful, and the room was very dirty, with holes in the walls.

We had a great stay with our family in three rooms. The location was good, check-in was quick and easy, and the person at the front desk was good.
