Super 8 St. Louis

It's been remodeling for at least three months, and the smells and carpets are awful. The hallways reek of cigarette smoke, while the room smelled like dirty bleach. Pay extra and stay somewhere closer. Great place to stay if you're homeless.

When I got into the room, the pillows were on the floor and the sheets were pushed to one side, like someone had napped there earlier. The room they gave me reeked of smoke even though I'd asked for non-smoking, so I smoked my weed in there since nobody seems to care about anything. The breakfast area has a sign saying the health department closed it, and they still have the nerve to ask for a $200 deposit.

The bed was surprisingly comfortable, and I felt safe during my stay. The front desk staff were kind and welcoming, so check-in went easily. Super 8 in Motley is a bit outdated, and I wasn't thrilled about having to leave a deposit. It did the job for what I needed, though there is definitely room for improvement.

For my weekday overnight stays, this hotel has worked when I wanted a well-lit, safe spot, a quiet night and a good rest. There's also somewhere to eat within walking distance, including the quaint little Rock Road Bar & Grill directly across the street. I've only stayed one night at a time, on weekdays.
