Cynthia made the stay special. She’s warm, funny, an incredible chef, and a wonderful person. The freshly made breakfast was a highlight. On the second morning, my husband and I stopped to admire it before eating, and I felt a little sad when there was only one bite left. We came for a short getaway while the kids were away and loved the cozy room, its old-world charm, and the in-suite jacuzzi, which made us feel warm and relaxed. This will definitely be one of our regular stops ❤️

I spent several days here for a horse show. My room and private bathroom were really spacious and meticulously clean, and Pickles was the best company :) Cynthia was extremely accommodating with my schedule, and her breakfasts are incredible. I’m still talking about her zucchini bread French toast.

We rented the entire Decker House for our wedding weekend, and our whole wedding party could stay there. Cynthia made the rehearsal dinner Friday, breakfast and lunch Saturday, and even baked us a small wedding cake. The food was amazing, the rooms were clean, and the hospitality was top-notch. The house has so much charm and made a great backdrop for our wedding photos. We loved the stay and will definitely return someday for our anniversary. Highly recommend!

We stayed at the Decker House when we came to Mason City for a wedding and thoroughly enjoyed it. Cynthia told us about the house’s history, which we loved hearing. The location can’t be beat, and the house is beautifully furnished and decorated with vintage items. Our room was comfortable, and the omelets and French toast at breakfast were so tasty that my wife kept thinking about them on our drive back to Illinois.

The house is beautiful, the host was great, and breakfast was fantastic. Well worth the price.
