Courtyard by Marriott Cincinnati Mason

The rooms are a good size, and the location is convenient, but I won't be coming back. In all my business travel, I've never stayed somewhere that didn't offer free brewed coffee, not even in the morning. When I asked, they pointed me to Starbucks for purchase or the in-room maker with powder creamer packets. There was just one person at the counter, with a line of annoyed people waiting. They didn't provide bottled water for the room, even for a Marriott member, and the front desk staff did the bare minimum. It's the little things that count in customer service, Marriott. There are plenty of other places around here.

The location is great and the room was nice, but I left around 10 pm and went to another hotel after flies kept appearing. The first one was trapped between the window and curtains and kept me awake. It was about 1 am, so I got up, killed it, and went back to bed. The next night I found another, then saw one more 15 minutes later. I killed three and spotted two more flying around. I went to the front desk to report it and ask for another room, but they were sold out. The employee said they had to investigate and couldn't do that until the next day. There was no apology, email, or call from a manager. The next day I got the bill, and they charged me for both nights.

During our three-day stay, the water pressure was weak the whole time, and the shower never had hot water. Housekeeping came in to take used towels even though the DND sign was on the door. The next day we requested room service, but nobody came. I can't recommend this hotel.

I liked the location, but I won't stay here again after two issues went nowhere. I found a bed bug in the bathroom, and both elevators jolted when they started moving. At checkout I told the front desk employee about both. She apologized for the bed bug but showed no concern or indication that she'd do anything. She already knew about the elevators and called them quirky.
