I booked for the location since this was my first time in Ludington, and I enjoyed my stay overall. The best thing about the room is being about 100 feet from Lake Michigan. Each room has a deck with two Adirondack chairs and a table. I’m old and big, so regular Adirondacks aren’t for me, but these rocker-style ones worked well. Rocking forward made it easy to get up. The staff were nice, and the pool and hot tub were awesome. From outside, the place looks impressive, but inside the amenities are sparse. The bathroom is small, and the shower is a joke, about the size of one on an Amtrak cross-country sleeper. If you drop the soap or washcloth, good luck. I’m around 300 pounds and tall, and anyone bigger won’t fit. The furniture is all hard, like library chairs. The bed was the only soft place to sit, so reading, working, or playing on a computer or game device could leave you sore unless you stack towels under yourself. I’ve never run into the tiny shower and hard chairs in a lifetime of business and pleasure travel. Would I come back? Maybe. I heard rates can reach nearly $300 a night in season, and at that price, absolutely not.

The stay lived up to what I’d hoped for after wanting to try Synders shoreline inn for years. I’ve spent summers in ludington since I was a kid. Our suite’s balcony looked out over Lake Michigan, and the views were beautiful. The beds were comfortable, the pool was fun, and we could walk to town and sterns beach. The staff were super friendly too, which matters a lot. I’ll be back!

We were lucky to get a lake-view room at short notice, and having the water just steps away was hard to beat. The ground-level room had one bed and a compact shower. The pool and hot tub were a nice bonus. My travel buddy and I could’ve used more towels, and the pillows need replacing, but otherwise it was wonderful. We’ll definitely be back. Great location and very friendly staff.

The location and view were great, but the room wasn’t worth $350 or more a night after taxes. We had a two-room king balcony “suite,” and it was dismal and old, with a serious need for updating. I was concerned about the bathroom’s cleanliness, and a bug I stomped on in the bedroom turned out to be a roach. The pool looked much better in the online pictures than in person. There wasn’t even an umbrella or anywhere to get out of the direct sun, so hanging out there was uncomfortable. The people were nice, but the room condition didn’t match the price. We come to Ludington every summer. This was my first and last stay at Snyder's Shoreline Inn.

I was hesitant to book because of the reviews, but check-in and the walk up to my lake-view queen room quickly exceeded my expectations. The location is great, right on the lake, and I enjoyed sitting on the balcony looking at Lake Michigan. The room had everything I needed, the staff were very friendly, and I had no problems during my stay. I’d definitely come back. Thank you!
