Breakfast had a good assortment of food and drinks, and the rooms were nice and good quality. There was a small indoor pool and a good gym, and they take pets for $25 per dog. We paid about $30 more per night for two queen beds than at the La Quinta within 75 miles. You may find better rates by searching hotels in McAlester, OK. We accepted the higher price because we had two small dogs.
The room was comfortable and clean, and breakfast was pretty good. There was a bit of a musty smell, which I assume came from all the rain in the area this year and water being tracked inside. After the thunderstorm, I also saw that rain had apparently leaked through the exercise room windows onto the floor. We enjoyed our stay overall.
They handled our fairly large family group without any trouble, and I would stay here again. The breakfast was well done. The staff were attentive, well trained, kind, and helpful. The place was spotless and clearly well cared for.
The bed was comfy, the room was clean and actually smelled great, and the hotel was quiet. The front desk staff were so nice. Great stay, and we'll come back if we're in the area again.
Rachel at the front desk was excellent. Our King suite felt spacious, super clean, and almost new, or at least recently updated. The floors were nice enough that walking barefoot felt fine. Amenities were good, and the bed was a little firm but still nice. If you stay here, try Captain John’s. The food was excellent!
