Aloha Inn McAllen Airport near Medical center Tx

Really good location. The rooms are big and clean, and the beds are comfortable.

The place was a mess, and watch where you step because you could fall. There are bed bugs, and the owners don’t care at all. The pool was disgusting and run by a hose, and there’s no breakfast. You can’t even buy a drink if it’s too late, and they overcharge. The owners are in your business all the time, but don’t answer the ring thing, so you hear it in your room 24/7. They don’t provide clean towels, even when you ask, and the poor staff have none to give. It was horrible. Worst ever!

On my second stay, June 3, after a good first visit, the room was awful. It smelled like someone had just smoked, the tub had cigarette burns, and there were ashes on top of the shower. When I got up to shower, there was a huge roach in there. The first time, I arrived around 10 p.m. and asked for one bed, expecting a cramped room. Instead it had a huge bed, a recliner, a table with seating for two, plus a desk, dresser, microwave, and mini fridge. The woman at the front was very friendly. The railroad tracks were my only complaint that time.

We had a big room and a nice, spacious bathroom. The TV didn’t work, but I was fine with that since I have Netflix. I found hairs under our covers, which made me wonder if they’d been washed properly. That may just be my anxiety, though, and the hair probably fell there while the bed was being made. The room also looked like people hadn’t treated it well, which of course isn’t the owners’ fault.
