They moved me after the first room, where the microwave and phone were broken and the shower had no water pressure at all. I didn’t spot the black mold up near the bathroom ceiling in the second room until my last day. On my first morning, the waffle maker was broken, leaving crunchy scrambled eggs as the only hot breakfast.

If you just need a cheap place to sleep before driving to Padre, this is totally fine. It’s right off the expressway, in an ugly part of town, but the room is clean, the bed is comfy, and the shower gets hot. The showerhead is only about five feet off the ground, though. It’s very bare bones, and the decor is drab and ugly. Breakfast is gross.

The rooms are spacious, and it was quiet for most or all of the night. I had a great night here, and breakfast was good too. They could have added bacon or sausage patties, though.

The location and service are honestly top-notch, and everything is clean, tidy, and comfortable. I’d suggest replacing the very old towels. They still do the job, buuuut they’re falling apart.

The room had a king bed, but I could open the door without a key. They gave me a $20 discount. In the second room there was no cable, so I had to spend money on a Fire Stick. They said maintenance would come fix it, but they never did. Was it worth the price? No, but you’re paying for the free breakfast.
