There’s an HEB nearby, and the commute to the place I’m visiting is easy, which is why I picked this hotel. I’m here on a work trip, but I’ve already booked somewhere else nearby for my next visit because the disruption has been constant. We’re on the first floor while renovations are going on. The contractors start early and keep at it until late, dropping tools, cabinets, and bodies so loudly it feels like they could come through the ceiling. I’ve had to wear my Bose headphones just to get some peace during the day. The room itself is dated, so I understand the need for work, but they could handle it in a way that disturbs guests less. There’s also a sewage smell in the bathroom that no amount of Lysol seems to fix.

The renovation work was going on, but the staff did a great job keeping the hotel clean. Everyone was friendly and helpful, breakfast had some good options, and I liked the outdoor deck and pool.

The first-floor carpet needs replacing. It’s stained, and the halls smell musty. The gym is tiny, and the only ice machine is by the front desk. The shower never got properly hot, just warm at best. The TV guide didn’t work, and YouTube wouldn’t load. Netflix was available through the TV, but only with an ad-free account. The hotel is under renovation.

The location is super convenient, with a grocery store right next door and an Olive Garden behind it. What more could you ask for? The staff were friendly and professional. Mason and Stephanie clearly know how to treat people well, so kudos to whoever trained them.

The staff were helpful and friendly, but the hotel wasn’t very clean. On my first night I found there was a roach infestation, and the towels and sheets had a faint dirty smell. I couldn’t stay any longer.
