Mount Shasta Ranch Bed and Breakfast

We were in room 3 of the carriage house. It was very clean and comfortable, with lots of parking and spacious shared areas. The owners were lovely, and breakfast was very nice. That cute elderly dog was a bonus. The porch has incredible views of Mount Shasta, though we could hear some noise from the nearby highway and train lines.

I have such warm memories of staying here with my Mom as a kid. I never thought I’d return, especially with my 3yr old daughter, but Kris and David made my family feel right at home. It’s a beautiful historic house, the kind that feels like its walls could talk. The porch view never gets old. Breakfast was delicious, especially the homemade blackberry turnovers. I can’t eat dairy, and Kris happily made sure it wasn’t a big deal and that I could eat the same things as everyone else. That means so much to me. Thanks for another wonderful stay!

My wife and I come back every year with friends to play in the snow, and Kris and David always greet us warmly and take care of what we need. The property is clean and well maintained, and breakfast is top notch. I love ending the day around the huge stone fireplace, swapping stories about our adventures. You just don’t get that kind of experience at a hotel.

Kris bakes THE BEST PECAN CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES for guests to snack on every day, and the hosts also provide a fridge, microwave, tea, and coffee. We’re still raving about the sumptuous three-course breakfasts, which kept us satisfied all day. Kris prepared them with care, and David served them. Their local site recommendations were spot on. This 100 year old inn has been lovingly restored to suit its era while offering the comforts of the 21st century. I’d need a few more visits to take in all the period furniture and decor. Kris and David were so welcoming and accommodating. The porch views are spectacular, especially Mt Shasta glowing pink at sunset. We spent evenings by the fire in the beautiful living room, then slept in an elegantly outfitted room with down comforters and luxurious sheets. Getting out of bed was tough, but the promise of another lovely breakfast did it.
