Watching the sunset from the mountains and joining Cowboy Dave by the fire under the stars made this place feel like a real ranch. He shares cowboy stories and plays live music, while the food is authentic and really good. The horse barn and petting zoo were a soothing part of the visit, too. The cabins have a dreamy country feel, with coordinated wooden furniture, sheets, and curtains, plus lovely carved wrought iron pieces for hanging things. The bathroom has hot and cold water, all the amenities, and an old-fashioned cowboy bathtub. The people running the ranch were wonderful. Annie gave us excellent restaurant service with help from her son, and her husband told us about the history of this iconic place. It’s tucked away from civilization beneath Spirit mountain on the Grand Canyon West, and they also offer a sunset horse carriage ride around the mountains. If you’re after wild, authentic ranch living, this is the place. The people are loving, and it’s extremely affordable.

We loved having our own rustic cabin, and the staff made the stay feel special with their stories about the ranch and the area. Cowboy Dave was especially great. He shared useful advice for our trip to Grand Canyon South rim the next day, and the campfire with s’mores at night was a highlight. We also enjoyed the music in the restaurant, where breakfast and dinner were both good. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are available in the morning. The ranch is an easy drive to Grand Canyon Western Rim, about 15 minutes away. We took the sunset horseback ride up to a plateau, where we saw buffalo, including a baby born that morning. Such a gift. The staff were kind and fun, the sunsets were incredible, and the stars at night were beautiful. Don’t miss the goats. Five stars for the stay and the staff.

Cowboy Casey was the best part for us. He entertained everyone in the restaurant, then led a campfire sing-along with s’mores, and his warmth comes through in everything he does, says, and sings. Genuine is the word that comes to mind. He has an old soul that makes the whole place feel slower and more relaxed. We also really enjoyed the family seating and the comforting home-style food. The chopped steak buried in onions and gravy hit the spot. Way to go Grand Canyon Western Ranch!

We spent Thanksgiving here and had delicious meals, went horseback riding, and sang campfire songs with smors. It was a lovely family trip, and the clean, cozy rustic cabins made it even better. The place is wonderfully tucked away, yet about as close as you can get to the Grand Canyon West. The operation there is great, and the people and staff are so warm, friendly, and lovely. It’s only two hours out of Vegas. Great for a family trip or time with friends, don’t hesitate!

John and Grace took us on a long ride through beautiful scenery to the remote glamped-out campsite, and they looked after us the whole time. They made us feel comfortable from the start. Even with some rain, we loved every minute of our overnight campout. Everyone was friendly and helpful as soon as we arrived, and we highly recommend it.
