Comfort Inn Mechanicsburg - Harrisburg South

We were only there for five minutes before leaving. My husband booked the room at 4 a.m., even though another woman had just complained hers wasn’t clean. At first ours looked okay, but there was pubic hair and a dirty washcloth in the bathroom. We were exhausted and just wanted to sleep, then pulled back the blanket and saw the bed had clearly been slept in, with more pubic hair. It looked like they’d only pulled the covers back up. The next bed had fresh-looking spots on the blanket. I won’t speculate about what they were, but I have an idea. There were also four boys in the adjoining room, drunk and loud at 4 a.m., though I know that part was beyond the hotel’s control. We left, and got no refund. Disgusting. Worst hotel experience ever.

Everything felt fresh and clean, from the room to the lobby and breakfast area. The food was great, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Paul also had some great suggestions for things to do nearby. It was our first stay here, and we had a wonderful time. I’d recommend it and would definitely return.

Breakfast was great, especially the apple cinnamon waffles, and the staff were attentive throughout our stay. They checked that we had what we needed and were always ready to help. The room smelled a little like smoke, possibly from a previous guest, but otherwise we had a great stay.

The staff at the desk were pleasant, and the beds were comfortable with clean bedding. The room itself was fine, though there was some mold in the bathroom. I think the fans may be the reason, since they’re so loud that guests might avoid using them. At 10 p.m. I called about a loud vibrating noise from across the hall, and it turned out to be someone’s bathroom fan. Replacing the cheap fans might fix both issues. Breakfast was standard, and the vanilla Coffee mate creamer was a nice bonus.
