Holiday Inn Express & Suites Harrisburg S - Mechanicsburg by IHG

I asked the hotel to keep my ice packs in their freezer overnight, but they refused. I'd stayed here several times and they'd never had a problem with it before. I've stayed in hotels every week for almost 10 years without an issue. I called the manager the next morning, and Amber said it was Pennsylvania state law that they couldn't do it. As you can see in my picture, that wasn't true. I also checked with igh, and they said they'd never heard of that law. The manager then asked for names of everyone who had done it for me before. I said no, because I wasn't going to rate staff who'd made my stay great.

Robin at the front desk deserves an extra thank you for helping change my reservations and being so caring and compassionate. Everyone I encountered was kind, gracious, and helpful. The Holiday Inn in Mechanicsburg made sure my room was fresh, clean, and quiet. It was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and there was plenty of parking. The complimentary breakfast was really good, with fresh hot food and some nice quality choices, plus cold cereal, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, breads, pastries, and a make-your-own pancake option. A lovely place to stay.

I'd come back. The room was spacious, clean, and close to Hershey Park, and the staff were nice. Free breakfast was a plus, and the food was presented properly with enough for everyone, though it was just okay at best. The AC unit was very loud and kept my husband from sleeping. The walls were thin, too, so we heard doors slamming and people talking until 2:30am.

They let us check in early, which was nice. Breakfast had a good range of choices, including healthy options. A nice experience.
