Residence Inn Melbourne

Being displaced after an emergency at home meant endless calls, headaches, and a lot of stress. Insurance arranged our hotel stay. Kim welcomed us at check-in and quickly made the process feel manageable. She was friendly, understanding, and reassuring, and talking with her felt like chatting with an old friend rather than a stranger doing a job. Her customer service brought smiles to my family’s faces and was a real breath of fresh air. Rose was just as helpful, warm, and thoughtful when we met her. Her care came through in every interaction. Between the lovely rooms and the wonderful staff, we were able to relax during a difficult time. Kim and Rose, and everyone else whose name I didn’t get, made our displacement feel almost like a vacation and turned a nightmare into a genuinely pleasant stay. Thank you!

We arrived from Georgia three weeks ago and have been looking for a house, which has been stressful. I left today and wanted to thank Marie and Viera for their excellent customer service. Their kindness made a real difference while we worked through the process of finding a home. Thank you both, you really rock. I hope the hotel recognizes them.

Everyone I talked with was kind and fun to speak to, and the room was beautiful. The coffee downstairs was great, too. Ana kept breakfast running over the weekend and was wonderful, checking on people and going out of her way to greet them and ask how everything was. We ate outside next to the pool both mornings. The location worked well for where I needed to be, and there was plenty of parking. It made for a wonderful Masters graduation stay.

The second visit changed my rating to four stars: there was a noticeable mold patch on the bathroom wall, probably because the fan wasn't working. A shower shelf was also broken and dangling off the wall. Even with those issues, it’s a good-value hotel. The rooms are roomy and modern, with a small kitchen and living area, and everything else felt clean. There’s free parking and an outdoor pool. I’d still recommend the Melbourne Residence Inn.
