Hilton Long Island/Huntington

The rooms are a bit dated, but mine was clean and comfortable. I was here for work and had a very positive stay overall. There’s plenty of well-lit parking, good food, and a great bar area with good service. The fitness center has cardio equipment, weights, and plenty of space. Good location, too.

Sheila behind the bar has a great personality and is very professional. The Reuben was excellent, with sauerkraut between two layers of corned beef on buttery toasted rye, a perfect stack. And the truffle fries were next level.

We booked six rooms because the hotel was close to a family event and we wanted to Uber there and back instead of driving after drinks. The main floor looks beautiful, the bellhops were kind and really helpful, and the bar and pool areas are spacious and lovely. The rooms are a good size, but the furniture is chipped and wobbly. Also, there are no microwaves in the rooms. Service from some of the other staff was rough. The person setting up breakfast was very rude. There was only one bartender, and she got nasty with some guests while explaining she’d help them after serving three people ahead of them. She listed their orders, beer, rum and coke, and a martini, then said she’d get their beer. Her tone and body language were awful, even though she’d been personable before that guest arrived. We all looked at each other wondering what had just happened. She seemed annoyed about not getting glasses from the supervisor she was waiting for. I didn’t order another drink after that. The shower was a mess. I had to figure out how to get hot water, then found a crack in the hose spraying water onto the floor. I had to fiddle with it to point the spray inward. I reported it because I didn’t want to flood the room, but nobody came. I also told the desk, and still nobody showed up. The grout by the shower was black with mold and mildew, so this seemed like an issue that had been left unattended. The rates are too high for the quality and the rude service. My husband and I stay at Hiltons and haven’t had customer service or maintenance problems like this. Keep your stay short and don’t overpay.

Analiese is the absolute best. She made sure our wedding party had everything we needed and went above and beyond all weekend. I can’t recommend the hotel, and especially Analiese, enough.
