Sea Rock Bed and Breakfast Inn

The room was spacious and had everything we needed, and those soft sheets made the comfortable bed even better. We stayed three nights in Suite 11 at Sea Rock Inn, with cold, rainy weather for most of the visit. The wood-burning fireplace came in handy, and we even spent one whole day relaxing in the room. Breakfast delivered each morning and the daily brownies were highlights, and the staff were very kind. Since most shops don’t open until 10-11 am, it was nice not to have to head out early to eat. The inn sits on a beautiful stretch of ocean, only minutes from the Town of Mendocino. We’ll definitely return.

We loved ending each day on the porch of Cottage 1, watching the sunsets over the ocean. Falling asleep to the sound of the water was wonderful too, with such soft bedding and pillows. The cottage had a direct ocean view, and being able to park right outside made unloading easy. Inside, the kitchenette had dishes, utensils, and a microwave, which we used to warm up leftovers from Luna Trattoria. There were extra towels in the spacious bathroom, a heating fan for chilly days, and plush robes that were perfect by the fireplace. Breakfast arrived cheerfully every morning and was delicious, with lovely presentation. At check-in, Sadie took our breakfast orders, asked when we wanted housekeeping, and gave us restaurant and attraction suggestions. She also told us about the brownies, Stash tea, and coffee available throughout the day. All the staff were thoughtful and greeted us with smiles. We were welcomed by stunning views as we drove in, and sent off with brownies for the road. It was the relaxing break we needed.

Everything was spotless, quiet, and comfortable, and the room felt cozy. Lilah was such a welcoming host, gave us great local suggestions, and checked that we had what we needed. The service was five stars. And definitely try the bottomless brownies. You’ll wish you’d taken some for the road. Worth every penny.

We spent three nights here with the family and enjoyed every minute. The owners and whole team were fantastic, and the place itself is beautiful and peaceful. Those brownies in the front office were a favorite. Sea Rock Inn has the most spectacular views in Mendocino. You have to stay here.
