Motel 6 Menifee, CA

The room was dirty, and my experiences with the male manager left me extremely concerned. As I came out of my room, I saw him hiding behind a pillar with a hammer in his right hand. On another occasion, I tried to avoid him, but he walked toward me carrying a leaf blower. I also found it alarming that he can view all the cameras from his phone. His wife, who works at the front desk, made excuses for him. I want to warn female travelers. The people staffing this Motel 6 are all related to the family that owns it. No one should feel harassed or put in jeopardy by motel staff. Motel 6 corporate should take a close look at what is happening here. Proceed with caution.

The rooms are clean and a reasonable price, and they allow dogs. Shampoo is available, though you have to ask for it at the office, and they brought us extra pillows when we requested them. There’s no breakfast, but you can get soda, water, and coffee from a machine that also makes espresso. It’s easy to reach from the freeway, with a gas station across the street and a Wendy's next door. We’ll definitely stay there on our next trip down.

The room was basically four walls and a door, and the bathroom and amenities were awful. The bathroom was dirty, and there were no towels on our first night. The front office and manager didn’t help or seem to care about making things right or compensating me for a minimally cleaned room that wasn’t as advertised or worth what I paid. I might consider staying again if they completely retrained the staff or hired a manager who understood hospitality.

The location was perfect since this was the closest motel to our wedding venue. Receptionist Heidee was super helpful, and accommodated our guest who uses a wheelchair, making everything easy. We felt really well looked after the whole time.
