We had to ring the bell several times before anyone came to check us in, and then waited probably 10 minutes. The woman was nice, but when we got to our room there were a lot of dead ladybugs on the floor and all around the AC unit. It was really gross and made it seem like nobody had been in the room for a couple of days. The bed was hard and awful to sleep on, and breakfast wasn’t edible. Staff were almost always standing by the front door smoking, so walking through that was nasty too. For what I paid, this was very disappointing. I’ll never stay again and will tell people to stay away.

The beds were comfortable, breakfast was good, the location was convenient, and the staff were friendly enough. But there were a lot of problems. The floors were filthy: my feet ended up black and caked with dust and grime, and it looked like three floors hadn’t been swept in weeks. The pool was closed without any explanation, and the booking site said there was an outdoor pool, but there wasn’t. Check-in felt rushed. The receptionist moved on to the next person before I’d even left the desk, didn’t point us toward our room, and didn’t seem to notice us loudly trying to work out where to go. The TV had only one volume setting, the AC made really loud noises at random, and the sink kept clogging. There was just one outlet between the beds and another by the mirror, which was inconvenient for us since we travel with a lot of electronics as well as phones and gadgets. They also didn’t refresh our towels and other things daily. It’s been a few years since my last hotel stay, but I’ve never had that happen before.

The photos of the property are misleading. The pool and hot tub weren’t operating, and the whole hotel smelled of old cigarette smoke. I checked in, went to my room, and couldn’t stay. If I couldn’t have gotten a room at the AmericInn, I would’ve slept in my car rather than stay in that disgusting place. I’ll be filing a complaint with my credit card company to get a refund.

I got six bug bites during one night there. They became infected, and I had to go to the hospital. I do not recommend staying here unless you like sleeping with bugs and waking up bitten.
