We paid for two rooms expecting basic cleanliness and hospitality, and this hotel failed badly at both. Cockroaches, ignored housekeeping requests, rude management, and even trouble getting a simple receipt ruined our family trip. I would strongly advise avoiding this property if hygiene and basic hotel standards matter to you. At check-in around 11 PM on May 22, I found a cockroach and asked the desk to clean and deodorize the room. The receptionist, who appeared to be a college student, said spraying room freshener at night was supposedly “against federal law.” As a U.S. citizen, I found that ridiculous and insulting. I asked again for a thorough cleaning before leaving the next morning, but when we returned late that evening the room still hadn't been cleaned. The desk staff said it wasn't his responsibility and told me to speak to someone else the next day. The manager barely gave us time, seemed annoyed, and was extremely rude when I raised the issues. Christen at the desk also initially refused to give me an invoice and had to call the manager for approval just to print a basic receipt for my rooms. I've never encountered such strange, unprofessional behavior at a hotel. I stayed at Quality Inn in New Orleans from May 22-25. For multiple days, requests were ignored, the room conditions were unacceptable, and the staff and management acted unprofessionally. The cockroaches, poor cleanliness, excuses, and difficulty getting the invoice completely spoiled the trip.

Kristen was wonderful and helpful whenever we dealt with her, and the central location was handy for our plans. Still, we left a day early and gave up the money because we'd booked through a third party and couldn't get a refund. That's how much we wanted to get out, and I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it. Our room smelled strongly of mildew, and the place felt dirty and poorly maintained. The pool was green and looked so filthy that my friend and I didn't feel comfortable swimming. The bed made loud, creaky noises whenever anyone moved, all night long. Because it's set up motel-style, we had to cross the lot to get fresh towels. Housekeeping was inconsistent too. We had to ask for our room to be cleaned, and it only happened once. There's a Holiday Inn down the road that I'd have preferred. At least the rest of our vacation was fun.

No hot water came through even after I let the faucet run for 15 minutes. I had to leave for the airport, so I couldn't wait any longer. The rooms had been redone and were decent, but the outside looked very run down. Just to be clear, this is a motel.

We only stayed because our car broke down while I was with my three-year-old son, who has special needs. The place might look updated outside, but the inside was filthy. The sheets had nasty stains, there were blood spatters on the wall, and the tub had odd little specks that I later found out could be parasites. They don't clean properly. When I complained, the owner blamed us and even put his hand in my face to silence me. It was a disgraceful experience. I wish I had left right then. Please think twice about staying here. Your health and mental well-being matter, and the hotel next door is a better choice. This place needs to be shut down.

We settled for this hotel after looking around for a few minutes, and the service was horrible. They took $125 from us for nothing, then charged another $50 as a “security deposit.” The only decent part was the woman at the front desk. The coffee maker was moldy. Staff said “I'm sorry” and supposedly looked for a replacement, but said they couldn't find one. There was no hot water, the TV and hair dryer didn't work, and the bathroom was incredibly slow.
