Global Luxury Suites at The Apex Miami

I stayed in room #205 from 12/11/25 to 12/12/25, and won't return. I usually don't complain about small hotel issues, but this was one of the worst stays I've had. The bed was a single full size, surprisingly small for a room with one bed, and the website photos were misleading. There was no phone in the room, so no obvious way to call the front desk. I called well ahead to say I'd arrive around 2 a.m. and ask about parking. They said there was valet, but when I arrived I had to use a public garage and pay $40. At 8 a.m. the fire alarms went off because of an error on the hotel's end. I was told Billing would handle the situation, but they still haven't made it right.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, but that doesn't justify the cost or the rating. The high score seems misleading to me, especially since they offer $25 cashback for five-star reviews. I turned it down because I want to be honest. There isn't a park, parking is $55 a night, and what they call breakfast is just bananas, cereal, and packaged snacks at reception. I have VIP access through Hotels.com, which clearly includes two beverages, but they gave me only two very small bottles of water.

The beds were comfortable and the AC worked well, and the location was great. Still, the rooms didn't look quite like the photos and we had no hot water during our stay because of a fault. Staff didn't believe us at first. There was also no way to call reception from outside the hotel. I reached customer service, but they couldn't connect me, so I had to email. It wasn't a great experience, though I'm sure the problems are easy for the hotel to fix.

The quiet surroundings made for a peaceful, relaxing stay, and the place was clean. Its Miami Beach location is exceptional, with attractions and amenities easy to reach.
