Kasa La Flora Miami Beach

The location is really convenient, right in a major tourist area, so some noise was expected. But I'm not sure I'd give up sleep for it again. Weeknights were fine. On Friday and Saturday, the nightclub behind the building got loud until 4am, and earplugs didn't help, so I needed noise cancelling headphones. One Friday it was extremely loud and went until 6am. The room was vibrating, which seemed beyond what noise rules would allow, even in a tourist area. A quick search suggested limits of 100ft and/or 100 decibels. Headphones didn't help that night either. Most of my stay was in a room at the far end of the building. WiFi only reached one half of it, where the only place to sit was a wooden chair. They didn't try to fix it, which was disappointing and tiring to work around. A family member was also unhappy that beach chairs covered by the resort fee, supplied by a separate business, were only available from 9am to 5pm. The beach is more comfortable before and after those hours. The rooms were clean, self check-in was easy, and the staff were helpful and friendly. I started out in a larger room with family for several days, then moved to a smaller one for another week and a half.

The room was a decent size, with a large TV and Netflix available. The bed wasn't very comfortable, and the shower water took a little while to heat up. The hotel is in a busy area, with Walgreens and food easy to get to. Check-in was confusing because the QR code at the front was tiny and hard to notice. Once we got in, the staff were nice, but no one was around for a while, and the person there didn't speak English, which made communication difficult. We left our luggage at 9am in a utility room, thankfully locked. Someone came later who spoke English and was pleasant. The lounge was being remodeled and could've been cleaner. There was gum on the floor, the tables needed wiping, and it didn't smell great.

I stayed six nights at Kasa la Flora. Self check-in was easy, and all the communication happened on WhatsApp, which made it quick and convenient. They answered everything promptly. The room was clean and comfortable, just steps from the restaurants and beach. The nightly rate was very affordable compared with other hotels on the same street and in the same area. I'd definitely go back.

We were able to check in early, and the staff member who helped us was really kind. The bed was comfortable, the room spacious, and the location was ideal for walking to Lummus Park, the beach, and lots of restaurants. We had wondered about booking without a regular lobby or staff on site, but the team responded immediately and promptly by text and email. We really enjoyed our stay at Kasa la Flora.
